Back in the ‘80s, I decided to quit my 9-to-5 job after being chosen to model for GQ, the leading men’s fashion magazine in the U.S. This opportunity took me to Europe, where I lived and worked for five years in iconic cities like Milan, Florence, Rome, Paris, Zurich, and Munich, as well as in New York City.
As the ‘80s gave way to the ‘90s, I returned to San Francisco to accept a sales position offered by Wilkes Bashford, the owner of one of the top clothing boutiques in the U.S. This ultimately became my life’s work. Over the years, I collaborated with some of the world’s top designers and was even featured in Esquire Magazine as one of the Best Dressed Real Men in America.
